Bahamas Power and Light has signed a contract with the Inter-American Development Bank for a $90 million loan facility. Minister of Energy JoBeth Coleby-Davis says it will drive a major modernization program, enable the purchase of equipment to support family island projects and fund grid modernization on the islands. It is the first time BPL has been designated as the direct borrower of a major international loan, according to Prime Minister Philip Davis. The project will include an advanced me
