Stacking a ring next to pave that’s directly facing it will cause issues for both rings: the stones will scratch the wedding band and the band will wear down the prongs holding onto the stones. This is why we intentionally design our rings with a one sided pave bridge—you can stack the plain side against your wedding band without issue. I also often get requests for smaller prongs or petite prongs. Prongs are literally the only thing holding onto your stone and so when your prongs are built too
