A 3.5 meter tall puppet named "Little Amal," representing the thousands of uprooted Syrian children, arrived in Washington, DC, last week. Her journey across North America began September 7 and will last until November 5, 2023. Amal is journeying 9,600 kilometers across the United States. Little Amal has become an international symbol of compassion and of human rights. She carries a message of hope for displaced people everywhere, especially children who have been separated from their families.
