The Museum’s C-47, or "096," was made by the Douglas Aircraft Company in Oklahoma City, and was delivered to the US Army Air Forces in April 1944. In service, she dropped pathfinders from the 82nd Airborne on D-day, then went on to fly in Operation Market Garden, the Battle of the Bulge, and Operation Varsity.
