This video is a performance of 'You're Excused...', the Michael Manring-style piece that I wrote for my 2017 book Giants of Bass. This is a solo bass piece that incorporates many of the techniques that Manring frequently employs in his music, including palm muting, double thumbing, strumming and two-handed tapping.
