Jan 29, 2025 · My interest is in 45 Colt, .357 Mag and 44 special. I could be tempted by a 44-40 but only in a 1 gen SAA. Some of this is due to the fact that I don't reload and just don't want to pay high dollar for 38-40 & 44-40 ammo be it smokeless or BP. I took my Colt 5 1/2" on a deer hunt last year and let my buddies shoot it.

Jan 20, 2025 · Colt quality in my own experience, and historically speaking, went through some rough patches before settling down in the early 1970s, due to financial issues, employee turnover, etc. I LOVE the immediate post war K frames, with the fishhook hammer…immediate post war Colt….cost cutting duo tone finish, plastic grips…you get the idea.
