Jan 8, 2013 · I downloaded the Sonar Producer X2 trial, which I'm loving the interface, etc., and can play and edit preexisting stuff like a breeze. But when I go to track fresh audio, there's this relentless popping/crackling sound, almost rhythmic (like somebody's tapping on something the whole time), and I can't for the life of me get rid of it.

Dec 22, 2004 · Still struggling with the learning curve from Pro-Audio to Sonar X1d Producer. I have most of my tracks done with MIDI driven softsynths and am ready for the final mixdown. I expected to just do a bounce-mix to a stereo audio track but the only thing I can find in the help file to select all tracks and do a file-export to WAV.

Jul 6, 2005 · Sonar doesn't have realtime pitch correction, though it does have good pitch and time stretching. For Plug-ins, you might want to research Voice tweaker pro as well as Akai Pitch Right and OBTune (I don't think the distributor for OB TUne is correct in this link, you may have to search for a place to actually get it.

May 5, 2007 · Yes, there is hardware that will work well with Sonar/Cakewalk, but it pales in comparison to the high end products designed specifically to work with PT. Larger studios have typically had incentive to stay with PT because of investment in hardware optimized (and in some cases locked to ) Pro Tools.
