The University of Texas has extended head coach Vic Schaefer's contract through the 2029-30 season, recognizing his leading role in the women's basketball team's success.

According to contract details for approval by the UT System Board of Regents in its February 19-20 meeting, Schaefer is getting a three-year extension and a 4.3% raise starting in the 2027-28 season.
