The new season of “South Park” launched amid the tensions between Comedy Central’s parent Paramount and the Trump White House. It also arrived after the show’s co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone scored a massive $1.5-billion five-year deal with Paramount for the streaming rights, which previously belonged to HBO Max.

South Park proved that it still has creative prowess as its Season 27 episode, “Got a Nut” saw an average viewership of 6.2 million on the global multiplatform in its first three days of release. These numbers have been taken over the period of August 6 to August 8, 2025 and includes viewers from both Paramount+ and Comedy Central.
