A new wildfire was reported today at 6:38 a.m. in Los Angeles County. The wildfire has been burning on private land. At this time, the containment status is unknown and the cause of the fire remains undetermined.

The Palisades and Eaton fires, two of the deadliest and most destructive wildfires in California history, reached 100 percent containment more than three weeks after they began.

From explosive batteries to crumbling chimneys and melted refrigerators, there is a lot to clear out, and a lot of steps to handle it all.

Palisades Fire initially started 10:30 a.m. Jan. 7 in Los Angeles County. It has burned 23,448 acres after being active for 27 days. A crew of 800 firefighters managed to contain the blaze entirely by Monday afternoon. The fire's cause remains under investigation.
