The summer-long series 'Global Gatherings' is wrapping up with a big festival on Saturday, August 9 at Gathering Place.

Moore said he believes that the Gathering Place is the first Oklahoma attraction to make the 10Best list. Voting continues online until Jan. 7, and the winner will be announced Jan. 18.

About 2,700 people took part in the Race for the Place, raising close to $340,000 for The Gathering Place, which provides free services to people impacted by cancer.
