Modest Inflation Pushes Estimated Social Security COLA Higher
The final adjustment won’t be confirmed until October, after the Bureau of Labor Statistics releases inflation data for July, August and September. But the recent bump continues a trend: The Senior Citizens League estimate has now risen for five straight months, climbing from 2.1% in January and from 2.5% just last month.
