Capt. Damien Lawler has been fishing the deep blue sea off Florida's coast for over three decades. This past weekend, he caught his first houndfish.
The walleye/pike/bass season is now closed until the fishing opener on May 9 and fish houses here in the northern third of the state have to be off the ice by midnight on March 16.
