The Cody Fire has burned more than 1,200 acres since igniting Wednesday afternoon in the Coronado National Forest near Oracle.

Firefighters are continuing to battle a large brush fire that broke out on Saturday in Jim Thorpe.

As of Monday morning, the Cody Fire has burned 1,223 acres and is 90% contained, marking substantial progress since the flames broke out Wednesday.

JIM THORPE, Pa. - A large brush fire in Jim Thorpe has now been burning for more than 24 hours. It is a brush fire in the area of Bear Mountain involving around 600 acres.
