In his first address to the nation after the Operation Sindoor, PM Narendra Modi on Monday said that India has shown what happens when 'sindoor' (vermilion) is snatched off the heads of the women of the country.

Following this attack, India and Pakistan officially downgraded their ties, triggering a tit-for-tat visa cancellation, suspension of bilateral agreements and more. In the aftermath of the attack, several demolitions were carried out across Jammu and Kashmir targeting suspected active militants.
