Harvey Elliott’s future as a Liverpool player has only been cast in more doubt by his feats for England at the U21 Euros.

Elliott opened the scoring in style in the fifth minute when picking up a loose ball on the edge of the Germany penalty area and firing a smart finish into the bottom corner. The ex- Fulham star also played a key role in the Three Lions’ second with an excellent pass, and his performance was another which caught the eye.
