After his latest outing in which he nearly no-hit the Orioles, deGrom is in the middle of the Cy Young conversation.

DeGrom flirted with a perfect game through six innings and a no-hitter through seven Wednesday night in another dominating performance in his return from Tommy John surgery in June 2023.

Three pitches into the eighth inning, Baltimore Orioles outfielder Colton Cowser ended deGrom's outing and his bid at history. deGrom, in a jersey discolored by sweat, knew his night was over at 89 pitches.
