Luis Fernando said his brother was detained by ICE despite showing them his asylum paperwork and explaining he was waiting on a work permit.

The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office said they were contacted on Friday by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement about a resident of Mexico who was potentially in the area.
