Aaron Rodgers figures his football resume speaks for itself. So the New York Jets’ quarterback doesn’t feel the need to use the final stretch of this season to prove his value to the team and that he should be back next season.

Rodgers is currently in the midst of arguably his worst season as a starting quarterback. In 12 games, Rodgers has passed for 2,627 yards, 19 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. He has also completed 62.5% of his passes, which is his lowest completion percentage since 2019.

With Rodgers owed a $35-million option bonus if he returns in 2025 and no guaranteed money left on his contract, Rapoport noted that the likelihood he plays for the Jets next season is slim.
