Severe weather season is right around the corner and to prepare, Kansas is planning a statewide tornado drill next week.

Meteorologist Reed Timmer posted video of whirling columns of fire while chasing wildfires that swept into southwest Kansas from Oklahoma.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says the incident happened just before 10 a.m. Monday at 3951 N K-99, just south of Road 400.
