The Trump administration's immigration crackdown is escalating in Minnesota, with NBC News on Monday reporting that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is deploying an additional 2,100 agents to the state.

Activists and city officials are reporting ICE activity in Minneapolis amid a reported surge of agents and Homeland Security investigators in the Twin Cities.

The deployment, which is said to have begun Sunday, would make Minnesota and specifically Minneapolis the focal point of President Donald Trump's nationwide effort to deport millions of immigrants.
