A large crowd gathered in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday to protest the recent ICE raids and deportations. The gathering closed the 101 Freeway for hours. Police declared an unlawful assembly and forced demonstrators to disperse during the daylong event.

The 101 Freeway in California is busy any day. On Sunday it was not just the motor vehicles on the busy roadway, but protesters, too. Hundreds flooded the freeway, which, in turn, caused major traffic delays.

In Los Angeles, a large group of anti-ICE protesters at one point were blocking both sides of the 101 Freeway near the Alameda Street exit.
