Bridgestone Americas has announced that it's slashing 700 Tennessee jobs to "optimize its business footprint."

The tour kicks off Wednesday, June 25, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, and will make stops in major cities, including Atlantic City, NJ at Hard Rock Live, Uncasville, CT at Mohegan Sun Arena, Seattle, Toronto, and St. Louis, before closing with an encore performance at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on Oct. 4.

Tire manufacturer Bridgestone Americas is closing its LaVergne, Tenn., truck and bus radial tire plant and laying off 700 workers there, the company said in a release.

Bridgestone is planning to close its LaVergne, Tenn., truck/bus tire plant and undertake additional workforce reductions in Iowa and in its corporate, sales staff.
