The Detroit Tigers have two starting All-Star outfielders for the first time in nearly 50 years. It was unexpected, but it makes sense.

Greene opened the scoring with a three-run blast in the first inning off Nationals starter Trevor Williams for his 20th homer of the season. Later in the inning, Jake Rogers followed with his first home run of the year -- and his first since Aug. 27, 2024.

Detroit Tigers stars Riley Greene, Javier Báez and Gleyber Torres were named to the American League All-Star team after fan voting on Wednesday. It is the first time since 2007 that the Tigers have had three players elected to start.
