Per Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras will soon face a hearing with the NHL's Department of Player Safety for his hit Sunday afternoon on Detroit Red Wings forward Michael Rasmussen.

NHL Player Safety shares official update on controversial Zegras hit.

Although it seems like the vast majority of observers who saw the hit would have predicted Zegras was headed for supplemental discipline, the NHL's Department of Player Safety made it official on Monday morning when they announced that Zegras would be facing a hearing that very same day.
