According to PTI, India's only representative in the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, Nitin Menon, has opted out of officiating in the Champions Trophy in Pakistan this month due to personal reasons. Javagal Srinath is also not part of the referee panel.

Pakistan's interim head coach Aaqib Javed said India should be worried about the fitness of their leading fast-bowler Jasprit Bumrah ahead of their clash in the upcoming Champions Trophy, set to happen in Dubai on February 23.

A list of 15 match officials was released by ICC on Wednesday, which featured three match referees and twelve umpires for the marquee tournament.

The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy is the 9th edition of the tournament that started in 1998. Notably, the tournament which is set to go underway on February 19, marks a return after 2017. Pakistan beat India to win the 2017 event. Meanwhile, this year's tournament is set to be held in Pakistan and the UAE.
