Organizers of the “No Kings” demonstrations said millions had marched in hundreds of events. In Oregon, tens of thousands of people gathered in downtown Portland for two large protests -- one that began in Tom McCall Waterfront Park and the other at the Oregon Convention Center.
“People are fed up.” That is why hundreds of people showed up for the No Kings protest at Campus 805’s Butler Green in Huntsville, according to organizer Jeff Angle.
Raleigh had two demonstrations on Saturday as part of nationwide protests against President Trump and his policies.
"In America, we don't do kings," the No Kings website reads. "They've defied our courts, deported Americans, disappeared people off the streets, attacked our civil rights, and slashed our services. The corruption has gone too. far. [cq] No thrones. No crowns. No kings."
Most of the "No Kings" protests across the country were peaceful, however, one person has died from a shooting in Salt Lake City.
