The Golden State Warriors lost Stephen Curry but won Game 1 of their second-round NBA playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night. Curry exited early in the second quarter, did not return and is expected to miss a week after an MRI revealed a Grade 1 hamstring strain. Curry will definitely miss Thursday's Game 2 in Minnesota.

Without injured superstar Stephen Curry, the Warriors tightened up on defense and limited the Timberwolves to just 11 points in the second quarter. Minnesota scored only 88 points for the game and shot under 40-percent in an 11-point loss that irked head coach Chris Finch.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said after the game Curry will be considered day-to-day for now, and he will undergo an MRI on Wednesday. Given there is only one day off between games, Kerr said the team is preparing for him to not be available for Game 2.
