Microsoft’s four-day Build conference kicks off on Monday, May 19th, with a livestream starting at 9AM PT / 12PM ET. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will be on stage to present all the latest Windows, Office, and AI news, followed by developer sessions that will be free for anyone to register and watch online.

Microsoft Build developer conference is back again, and this year, the company is all in on AI and Copilot initiatives.

Copilot is likely to be a headliner at Build, and big changes to it could be on the way. Microsoft is reportedly testing alternative AI models from xAI, Meta, Anthropic, and DeepSeek as possible replacements for OpenAI technology in Copilot as the relationship between Microsoft and OpenAI becomes strained.
