Video: Carlie Kollath Wells/Axios Kamala Harris launches the second part of her book tour Tuesday at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans as she makes clear that she's working to keep another White House campaign viable.

Hundreds of people filled the Saenger Theatre to see former Vice President Kamala Harris. Harris made a stop in New Orleans during her book tour, giving insight to her 107 day journey, running for president in 2024, after former President Joe Biden dropped out of the race.

There are some familiar faces in the new Moreno administration. Former City Council Budget Chair Joe Giarrusso is the city CAO, and former Sewerage and Water Board General Superintendent Steve Nelson was appointed director of public works.

Helena Moreno was sworn in as New Orleans mayor, pledging hope and stability after tragedy and turmoil under the prior administration.
