Google will finally allow you to change your @gmail address or create a new alias, according to a new support document.

Gmail may soon allow users to change their "@gmail.com" email address, with early signs suggesting the feature could roll out first for Indian users.

“Your stored data, including Drive files, Google Photos, and purchase history, remains untouched. You can sign in to Google services using either the new or the old email address”, Google said.
