Tensions are flaring in Minneapolis after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer fatally shot a 37-year-old woman on Wednesday.

Because D.C. Superior Court does not allow for the death penalty, federal officials moved to transfer the case to a federal venue.

Officials have identified a woman who was fatally shot Sunday by a Fort Worth security guard. Crystal Lynn Murphy, 39, died Sunday at about 6:06 p.m. in a parking lot in the 2600 block of South Riverside Drive, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
