The New England Patriots have a chance to address their needs at edge with a player who plays like Mike Vrabel. 2025 NFL Draft prospect Jack Sawyer is still on the board.

The New England Patriots entered the offseason with two clear priorities: Find a new head coach, and get quarterback Drake Maye some offensive help. The team quickly checked off the first box by hiring former Tennessee Titans head coach — and former Patriots linebacker — Mike Vrabel to replace Jerod Mayo.

The Patriots haven't drafted a running back this high since taking Georgia's Sony Michel with the No. 31 overall pick in 2018. They also haven't taken a running back at all since 2022, when the Pats selected South Dakota State's Pierre Strong and South Carolina's Kevin Harris in Rounds 4 and 6, respectively.
