The Toronto Blue Jays’ superstar slugger offered a “sad” response on his former teammate’s exit to the New York Mets.

Minter came to the Mets on a two-year, $22 million contract last offseason. He was excellent in 13 appearances with the club, posting a 1.64 ERA across 11 innings. Minter notched an 31.8% strikeout rate, though he did have an elevated 11.4% walk rate. The lefty picked up seven holds as a key member of the bullpen prior to his injury.
