WASHINGTON (WHSV) - Over 40 years ago on Nov. 13, 1982, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial was dedicated in Washington, D.C. The memorial took on a simple shape, but it was one that was packed with meaning. The famous V-shaped, black granite wall bears the names of nearly 58,000 Americans who died in the conflict.
