US stock futures fell Monday after President Donald Trump said the US economy would see “a period of transition” and refused to rule out a recession, in an interview that aired Sunday.

President Donald Trump downplayed the prospect of a recession days after previously dodging the topic during an interview that added to uncertainty circling Wall Street. “I don’t see it at all,” Trump told reporters on Tuesday at the White House.
