The winner of the Georgia vs. Ole Miss game will face off with No. 10 Miami, who landed its second upset in as many games in the College Football Playoff on New Year's Eve, downing No. 2-seeded Ohio State 24-14.

No. 8 Alabama kicked off the first-round weekend Friday with a bang, erasing a 17-0 deficit to stun No. 9 Oklahoma 34-24. The first road win in College Football Playoff history earned the Crimson Tide a date with No. 1 Indiana in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day.

The lone spot still up for grabs in the NFC is the South crown as the Panthers and Buccaneers continue to battle for the division championship. An upset win by Carolina over Seattle Sunday, and loss by Tampa Bay to Miami, would give the Panthers the division title. A loss, however, would set up a winner-takes-all match-up in Week 18.
