Worcester City Hall closed to the public early Tuesday ahead of a planned protest against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Dozens of people protested at the same time as a City Council meeting was held virtually inside.

A Worcester City Council meeting and a budget hearing scheduled for Tuesday will both be held over Zoom, officials said.

Worcester City Hall is closing to the public this afternoon and holding its meetings virtually over safety concerns.
