The budget bill containing many of President Donald Trump’s fiscal priorities and campaign promises narrowly passed the House of Representatives early Thursday morning in a 215-214 vote, and now the White House is “suiting up” to get the bill through the Senate.

After a meeting with Trump and conservative holdouts, Speaker Mike Johnson said he planned told hold a floor vote Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

Speaker Mike Johnson and a group of blue-state Republicans finally struck a tentative deal last night on a key tax write-off that was largely blocking the bill from passing out of committee. But a group of conservative hardliners is once again standing in the way of a tentative floor vote today.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump believes Massie and Davidson should be primaried for opposing the budget bill.

House Republicans passed Trump’s “big, beautiful” spending bill by just one vote early Thursday morning. After hours of deliberation, the bill passed 215-214, an incredibly slim margin that highlights the lack of political cohesion within the GOP.
