The Washington attorney general claims in a new lawsuit that the sheriff in Adams County has been breaking state law by helping federal immigration officers round up undocumented residents.

The Washington State Attorney General's Office is suing the Adams County Sheriff's Office, accusing the agency of cooperating with federal immigration officials in violation of state law.

AG Nick Brown claims the sheriff's office is also helping the Trump administration's efforts to enlist local officials for federal civil immigration work.
