Belal Muhammad says if there’s someone to blame for UFC 319 being boring, it’s the former champion Dricus du Plessis. This past Saturday, du Plessis squared off with Khamzat Chimaev in the main event of UFC 319 with the middleweight title on the line.
Dricus Du Plessis' coach is confident they can work on mistakes and get their belt back after UFC 319. Du Plessis (23-3 MMA, 9-1 UFC) was dominated and outgrappled by Khamzat Chimaev (15-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) in Saturday's main event at United Center in Chicago.
Du Plessis has been one of the most dominant fighters over the past couple of years. Since his first fight in the UFC in 2020, the South African contestant has not lost a match, winning the Middleweight belt at UFC 290 in 2023. He has since defended the title thrice, two wins coming by decision.
UFC 319 takes place on Saturday night with Dricus Du Plessis defending the middleweight title against Khamzat Chimaev. Here are the official weigh-in results.
