PITTSBURGH (AP) — A powerful storm downed trees and power lines, leaving more than a half million customers in Pennsylvania, Ohio and neighboring states in the dark on Wednesday morning, with local officials reporting at least three deaths.

New rounds of severe thunderstorms and life-threatening, potentially catastrophic, flooding risks are brewing in the central and eastern United States Tuesday, putting more than 50 million people at risk this week.

Severe weather will continue to plague the Southern Plains Wednesday, including threat of tornadoes, hail and damaging winds. If that wasn't enough, there is also a concern for dangerous flash flooding from northern Texas into Oklahoma and the Ozarks.
