Sirens were heard in several areas of Israel early on Friday (May 23) as the Israeli military said it intercepted a missile launched from Yemen targeting the country, in the latest attack bearing the hallmarks of Yemen's Houthi militants. “Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in several areas in Israel, a missile that was launched from Yemen was intercepted,” the army said in a statement. Israel’s rescue service, the Magen David Alom (MDA), said there were no reports of injuries related to the launch.

Sirens activated in parts of Israel, including Jerusalem, as terrorists in Yemen fire another missile at the Jewish state.
