Two Russian tourists have died after being involved in a horror shark attack in the Philippines on Thursday (February 27). Ilia Peregudin, 29, and Maksim Melekhov, 39, were out enjoying a popular diving spot off the Verde Island, known for its rich marine life and vivid corals, in Batangas province.

Russian tourists, Ilia Peregudin, 29, and Maksim Melekhov, 39, were part of a diving group that had travelled to the area to experience its marine life and range of corals, and swam near the sea floor to take in everything the environment had to offer.
