The Oklahoma Sooners wrapped up a disastrous first season in the SEC, going 2-6 in conference play and 6-6 overall. Brent Venables’ team was able to salvage bowl eligibility at the end of the year, extending the Sooners’ streak of bowl eligibility to 26 years.

Oklahoma has signed 17 prospects during the early signing period, which began Wednesday. The Sooners signed three-star quarterback Jett Niu, who had been committed to Oklahoma State since Sept.
