Protests at the Rhode Island State House, India Point Park and across RI radiated defiance on the president's 79th birthday.

(WJAR) — Thousands of protesters across Southern New England participated in "No Kings Day" rallies Saturday. The protests were in response to actions taken by President Donald Trump and his administration so far during his second term. Protesters shared concerns over a wide range of topics, including the administration's immigration policies.

Across the country, relatively few disruptions were reported during protests and marches where the mood ranged from joyful to defiant.
