A man was killed after a collision with a motorcycle and a sedan on the South Side. Nicholas A. Beyer, 28, was pronounced dead on April 26, a little over an hour after his motorcycle crashed into a hybrid sedan.

A deadly motorcycle crash shut down northbound lanes of Interstate 59 in Birmingham Monday morning. Birmingham police and fire personnel responded just after 5:30 a.m. in the Roebuck area. Traffic is being diverted to the First Avenue North exit in East Lake. The Alabama Department of Transportation estimates lanes will be closed until 10:30 a.m.
