Nearly 25 years after 'Malcolm in the Middle' premiered, Frankie Muniz still keeps in touch with onscreen dad Bryan Cranston.

Bryan Cranston, widely recognized for his role as Hal in Malcolm in the Middle before skyrocketing to fame with Breaking Bad, has addressed the possibility of reuniting with the original cast for a comeback of the beloved comedy series.

Malcolm in the Middle alum Frankie Muniz marvels that even as Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston has grown into "essentially like a Hollywood god at this point," his former TV dad still makes time to check in on him every few weeks and attend his shows and races.

Muniz led the hit series as the titular Malcolm about a dysfunctional working-class family. It also featured Jane Kaczmarek as Malcolm’s mother and Erik Per Sullivan, Christopher Kennedy Masterson and Justin Berfield as his three brothers. In season four, a fourth brother named Jamie was introduced.

Though it’s been nearly two decades since Malcolm in the Middle came to an end, Frankie Muniz says his TV dad, Bryan Cranston, still checks in on him.

Wherever life takes him, Frankie Muniz will always have a TV dad in Bryan Cranston. The two-time Golden Globe nominee recently shared that Cranston, who played his on-screen father Hal in Malcolm in the Middle, still checks in with him “every couple of weeks.” The beloved Fox sitcom aired for seven seasons from 2000 to 2006.
