Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang says the technology giant has won approval from the Trump administration to sell its advanced H20 computer chips used for artificial intelligence to China.

Nvidia said the U.S. government is allowing the Silicon Valley giant to sell its artificial intelligence chips to China, reversing course after banning the sales in April. The company said in a blog post Monday that it is filing applications to sell its H20 chips to China with the U.

The administration said Nvidia would be allowed to sell the H20 chip after licenses are granted by the Commerce Department, according to the company. Nvidia said it would resume deliveries soon of the chip, which was designed for Chinese customers and has been a top seller in the country since 2024.
