The Boston Bruins got back into the win column with a 4-1 home win over the Calgary Flames on Thursday. Boston was coming off a 7-4 loss to the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday in the final game of its road trip.
Sean Kuraly gave the Bruins the lead with his fourth goal of the season. The forward picked up a pass from linemate Tanner Jeannot, and ripped the puck from the high slot to make it 1-0 at 9:48. Charlie McAvoy logged the secondary assist, extending his point streak to four games.
The Boston Bruins host the Calgary Flames at TD Garden on Thursday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. ET. The matchup will air on ESPN+. Calgary's last game was a road loss, 4-1, against the Montreal Canadiens on Jan. 7.
Defenseman Rasmus Andersson has also been a consistent shooter while logging huge minutes (24:10) for the Flames. The 29-year-old Swede has hit the net two or more times in 10 of his past 15 games, and Andersson is second on the club in attempts for the campaign.
